Systems for your Business

Today’s email will focus on selling.

1) Have a list of what to bring to parties. As a seasoned consultant this may seem unnecessary, but in the "panic of the moment" it’s always good to have a checklist. This is also useful to give to team members as your organization grows.

Some suggestions are:
a) Customer folders
b) Order forms
c) Calendar or date cards
d) Hostess packets pre stuffed*
e) Recruiting packets pre stuffed** (see tomorrow’s email)
f) PRODUCT SAMPLES (don’t laugh, TSF knows of stories…)
g) Change (about $20-$30 cash)
h) Pens/Pencils for guests
i) Catalogs (again, obvious but…)
j) Possibly a small amount of inventory for customers with last minute gift needs
k) Directions to the hostess’ home
l) The hostess’ phone number
m) A cell phone (in the event of car trouble or direction trouble)
n) A CALCULATOR (unless YOU can do sales tax in your head)
o) Notes for your presentation (if you use them)
p) YOUR SMILE!!!

2) *Hostess packet suggestions
a) 3-5 extra catalogs for outside orders
b) Extra order forms
c) Instructions on calculating orders
d) Reminder post cards and/or hostess invitation mailing list
e) How to be a great hostess directions
f) RECRUITING FLIER!!
